Coffee Break with Nicholas Christakis, Yale

Professor Nicholas Christakis is a Sterling Professor of Social and Natural Science, Internal Medicine & Biomedical Engineering.

Professor Christakis will present an overview of where we are with the coronavirus, how it came to affect us, what the key parameters are (attack rate, infection fatality rate, effective reproductive ratio - all of which are not fully known yet), and what we should be focusing on in the coming months (widespread serological testing and preparing the nation to live differently for a while). He will also briefly touch on some work in his lab, including the imminent launch of a risk tracking app available for personal use.
